LET'S GET READY FOR YOUR PORTRAIT SESSION.

SPRAY TANS & TANLINES

For your session we do not recommend a spray tan if you haven’t had one done before as it will affect how your skin tone will photograph. You should also stay out of the sun to avoid any burns before your session!

Retouching of streaks, tan lines and sunburns is not included in the retouching but available for an extra charge.

DAY OF YOUR SESSION

If you booked our optional makeup service, arrive with a clean face and dry hair. It’s always helpful to do a light exfoliation on your face, even just with a washcloth. Let the makeup artist know if you have any sensitivities, and feel free to bring some inspiration photos for your makeup look.

Use clear deodorant & moisturize your body before your session.

Don’t forget to eat something and drink lots of water the day before.

A good night’s sleep will ensure you are refreshed for your photoshoot.

HANDS AND FEET

If you normally do your nails, get a manicure and pedicure before you session (or DIY at home).

Your hands and feet will show in many of your images and we don’t want chipped polish!

HAIR COLOR/EYEBROWS

Having freshly trimmed and COLORED hair and eyebrows done - if that’s your thing - will make you feel like a supermodel during your session!

APPOINTMENT TIME & RESCHEDULES

Please arrive on time for your appointment; if you arrive early, we may still be with another client. Late arrival will be deducted from your session time.

If you booked hair and makeup...that will take approximately 1 hour so come prepared to be pampered for a while!


Your session itself will take approximately 90 minutes to 2 hours.

WARDROBE

Here are some wardrobe and accessory suggestions/considerations:

Elegant - Long or short dress with heels - Flowy or fitted

Sophisticated - Business look with a blazer and a crisp white shirt

Playful - Outfits in vibrant colors and fun patterns. Think fringe

Bold - Leather jacket/skirt paired with heels/boots

Timeless - Classic jeans with a stylish blouse

Intimate - Bra visible under a blazer, or bold lingerie

Chic - Pearls with a pencil skirt

Confident - Full-length outfit, walking toward the camera with poise

Feminine - Soft materials like lace or chiffon
Personal Touch - Something meaningful like a family heirloom or a prop that reflects your interests (like a book, instrument, or hobby).

YOU MAY WANT TO BRING FROM HOME

Some clients have loved bringing:

  • Anything sentimental from your closet or jewelry box

  • Your favorite lipstick shade

  • A black / nude bra (strapless, too) & panties

  • A jewel-toned top if you want a headshot for LinkedIn

  • Shoes
