I'm Not Just a Photographer. I'm a Visual Storyteller.
Since 2002, I've been on a mission to preserve more than beautiful photographs. As an award-winning visual storyteller, I create portraits and visual stories that celebrate who people are, honor who they've become, and preserve the moments that matter most.
Long before I became a professional photographer, I spent more than 20 years serving people through social work and nonprofit leadership across the United States and internationally. I eventually realized that photography wasn't a departure from that work. It was simply a continuation of it, another way to help people feel seen, valued, and remembered.
That realization changed everything.
Today, I photograph women, entrepreneurs, businesses, nonprofits, and events throughout North Georgia and beyond. At first glance, those may seem like very different types of photography. But to me, they're all connected by one purpose.
Every story deserves to be told beautifully.
Photography Without a Mask
At the heart of my work is As I Am, an intimate, unretouched black and white portrait experience built around one simple belief: you don't have to perform to be worthy of being photographed.
There's no elaborate styling to hide behind and no filter standing between you and the frame. As I Am asks something quieter and braver instead: to simply be seen exactly as you are.
For many of the women I work with, that's both the hardest and the most freeing thing they've done in years.
As I Am: Stories of Becoming grows that same idea even deeper. It's more than a portrait session. It's an opportunity to honor a woman's journey, celebrate who she's become, and preserve the story that shaped her along the way.
Every session begins with a conversation because people matter more than photographs.
Before I ever lift my camera, I want to understand what someone has walked through, what they value, and what this season of life means to them. Those conversations shape every portrait we create together.
This is the work I feel most called to do because I've watched it change the way women see themselves. Not because the portraits are dramatic or elaborate, but because they're honest.

While As I Am celebrates the quiet honesty of simply being seen, 40 Over 40 is a magazine-style portrait experience that embraces professional hair and makeup, beautiful styling, and editorial-inspired portraiture. It's a chance to step into the spotlight, celebrate life's milestones, and see yourself through fresh eyes.
More than a portrait session, it's an opportunity to create heirloom artwork that your family will treasure for generations.
The experiences look different, but their purpose is the same: helping women recognize their worth and preserve their stories.

Storytelling doesn't end with portraits.
